About our programs

Critics praise the two young musicians for their perfect ensemble, their deep, soulful sound and their varied, witty presented programs, In the 2025/26 season Beham and Goldstein will make appearances at well known festivals like „Europäische Wochen Passau“, „Ammersserenade“, „International South Bohemian Music Festival” etc. but also in Schloss Nymphenburg, Rathausprunksaal Landshut, Kaisersaal des Klosters Wettenhausen, Konzertsaal der Europäischen Wochen Passau, Herrenhaus Bannacker (Augsburg), Bürgersaal Plattling, Kloster Metten, Fürsterzbischöfliches Opernhaus Passau, but also in Berlin and Dresden. Concert tours have taken them to many cities in Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, central and northern Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. In summer 2024, they released a CD entitled “Musikalische Zeitreise”. It features works by Mozart, Schubert, Vaňhal, Elgar, Brahms and Saint-Saëns. They work together with composers such as Philipp Ortmeier. They are supported by the association Initiative für Musik e. V. (IBAN: DE07 7435 0000 0021 5022 77).

Christoph goldstein

Christoph Goldstein

Christoph Goldstein studied violin, viola, conducting, musicology and music education. With his duo partner Johannes Beham, he performs throughout Germany and other European countries. In Landshut, he leads a symphony orchestra and a Chamber Orchestra. Christoph Goldstein plays a violin made in 1765 by the Florentine violin maker Gasparo Piattellini, a violin made by the Mittenwald violin maker Georg Klotz (1687–1737) and a viola made by the Füssen violin maker Simpert Niggel (1710–1785).

Christoph Goldstein studied violin, viola, conducting, musicology, and music education in Munich, Trossingen, and Nuremberg. In 2024, he completed his doctorate on the composer and music educator August Halm (1869-1929) at the University of Regensburg.

Johannes Beham

The pianist, choirmaster and organist Johannes Beham discovered his love of music as a child. At the age of 12 he had his first piano lessons. Just three years later he attended the conservatory for music in Plattling. He then studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg and at the Pilsen Conservatory in the class of Miroslav Brejcha. In 2020 he had a decisive encounter with the violinist and violist Christoph Goldstein. Since 2021, they form a duo. In their presented concerts they combine well known great sonatas by Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert with short masterpieces for violin or viola and piano by Elgar, Saint-Saëns, Sarasate, Dvořák, Brahms etc. They give concerts in Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Spain, Italy, etc. Johannes Beham is a regular soloist in piano and organ concerts and a passionate chamber musician. Beside music Johannes has a special talent for languages. He speaks english, french, spanish, czech and polish fluently.
